Roy Hodgson names England squad to face Brazil

Roy Hodgson names a strong 24-man England squad to face Brazil at Wembley next Wednesday.

Roy Hodgson has named an experienced England squad to face Brazil at Wembley next week.

The 24-man squad includes no debutants, with left-back Ashley Cole likely to become just the seventh player to earn 100 senior caps for England.

Hodgson has named just two goalkeepers in Joe Hart and Jack Butland, while Frank Lampard returns to the squad after missing the 4-2 defeat to Sweden through injury.

Leon Osman retains his place after making his first international appearance in the same game in November.

England's squad to face Brazil:

Goalkeepers: Jack Butland, Joe Hart

Defenders: Leighton Baines, Gary Cahill, Ashley Cole, Phil Jagielka, Glen Johnson, Joleon Lescott, Chris Smalling, Kyle Walker

Midfielders: Michael Carrick, Tom Cleverley, Steven Gerrard, Frank Lampard, Aaron Lennon, James Milner, Leon Osman, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, Theo Walcott, Jack Wilshere

Forwards: Jermain Defoe, Wayne Rooney, Daniel Sturridge, Danny Welbeck
