Southampton left-back Luke Shaw has admitted that making his senior England debut on Wednesday culminated in the 'best week' of his life.
The 18-year-old received his first Three Lions cap when he took to the field in last night's 1-0 win over Denmark at Wembley.
"It has been emotional week, and the best of my life," Shaw told Southampton's official YouTube channel. "I'll never forget this week.
"Making my debut was such a proud moment, not just for me but for my family who were there watching. It's an honour. I enjoyed every minute of it. I'll never forget the moment that I came on."
Shaw is vying for a place in manager Roy Hodgson's squad ahead of this summer's World Cup in Brazil.
