England Under-21s striker Connor Wickham is hopeful that his performance in the qualifying campaign will be enough to secure his place in Stuart Pearce's squad for the European Championships this summer.
Wickham scored in the Three Lions' 4-0 win over Austria on Monday and has notched crucial goals throughout the qualifiers in games against Norway and Serbia.
He told FATV: "I've scored a few goals throughout the campaign, so hopefully I'll be in the gaffer's mind. But it's his choice and it's up to him who he wants to take.
"Anyone who has been involved in the campaign is in with a shout of getting on the plane."
Wickham has just returned to his parent club Sunderland after a loan spell in the Championship with Sheffield Wednesday.
