David Moyes insists that Tamworth deserve Everton's full respect.

Everton boss David Moyes has said that non-league Tamworth deserve the club's full respect this afternoon.

The Scot, who led his side against several Premier League outfits during his time at Preston, has much experience in the role of the underdog and insists that the game will be closer than most are predicting.

"I was manager at Preston and we played Arsenal and went in 2-0 up at half time when they had a championship-winning team," he told the club's official website. "I also took Preston to Chelsea and we were very unlucky.

"I have been on the side as the underdog and they make the games tough. They will lift their game and if anyone thinks it is going to be one-way traffic then they are probably in for a shock.

"We will need to be patient, we will need to give them respect."

Meanwhile, the Toffees manager learned earlier this week that he would be without defender Phil Jagielka for up to six weeks.
