Everton's Gerard Deulofeu faces five weeks out of action with hamstring injury

Roberto Martinez says that Everton's on-loan midfielder Gerard Deulofeu could be out of action for five weeks with a hamstring injury.

Everton manager Roberto Martinez has revealed that on-loan midfielder Gerard Deulofeu could be on the sidelines for five weeks with a hamstring injury.

The 19-year-old, who arrived at Goodison Park on a season-long loan from Barcelona in the summer, suffered the problem during Everton's 4-1 win over Fulham last Saturday.

While the club confirmed yesterday that the injury blow would put Deulofeu out for a "few weeks", Martinez has stated in a press conference today that five weeks is a likely layoff time.

The Spaniard has found the net twice in the Premier League since arriving on Merseyside.
