Gerard Deulofeu welcomes Everton's busy fixture list

Gerard Deulofeu says that Everton can benefit from their fixture pileup over the next 12 days.

Gerard Deulofeu has claimed that he and his Everton teammates will benefit from their hectic fixture schedule over the next 12 days.

Roberto Martinez's side will play Crystal Palace, Southampton and Merseyside rivals Liverpool in the Premier League before facing either Manchester United or West Ham United in an FA Cup semi-final.

The Toffees have not won a game since March 12 and pressure is increasing on Martinez after a group of fans called for the Spaniard to be sacked prior to Everton's 1-1 draw with Watford at Vicarage Road.

"Yes [we have a busy schedule] but I like to play a lot of games," Deulofeu told EvertonTV. "It is much better because your body adapts to play every few days. As a team, we need to push and take the chance and win the FA Cup if we can.

"Watford were a strong team. We knew that. We saw videos in the week and in the Premier League it is always difficult to play away.

"It was a difficult game but we were unlucky not to take the three points. But we have to keep working and the next step is on Wednesday against Crystal Palace."

Everton are 14th in the league table.
