New Everton signing Leandro Rodriguez has revealed his eagerness to work alongside club-record buy Romelu Lukaku this term.
Leandro signed from River Plate Montevideo towards the end of the transfer window for around £500,000, and while the Uruguayan admits that he arrives as something of an unknown quantity at Goodison Park, the striker explained why he wants to form a partnership with £28m star Lukaku.
The Liverpool Echo quotes Leandro as saying: "I've always looked towards big players in Uruguay like Diego Forlan. The fans won't know much about me but I consider myself to be quite a technical player.
"I'm somebody who can work well with other players and I look forward to being able to show myself and my game to the Everton supporters.
"I watched players like Romelu Lukaku in Uruguay, so I am very happy to be able to play with players like that. I don't think there's any doubt that I'll enjoy playing with these players - I'm somebody that likes to get involved with my teammates."
Rodriguez could feature when Everton host Chelsea on September 12.
