Everton manager David Moyes does not want thoughts of the FA Cup semi-final against Liverpool to distract his players from achieving a strong finish in the Premier League.

The Toffees face their Merseyside rivals at Wembley in just five days' time (Saturday, April 14), but Moyes is not prepared to discuss that fixture yet and is fully focused on the home game with Sunderland later today.

"It would be naive if people were not in some way thinking of the semi-final, but I hope not and I would be disappointed if they were," said Moyes.

"We are in a pretty good league position and better than maybe we thought we were going to be. We want to try to hang on to that if we can."

Everton would go four points above Liverpool in the Premier League table with a win against the Black Cats.
