Leighton Baines 'to quit Everton for MLS'

Leighton Baines could reportedly leave Everton during the summer transfer window after interest from both Los Angeles Galaxy and Los Angeles FC.

Everton defender Leighton Baines has reportedly decided to entertain the possibility of a switch to the MLS.

Baines has spent the last 11 seasons at Goodison Park, with 404 appearances being made in all competitions, but the left-back will be 34 years old in December.

That has resulted in Everton starting to look at long-term replacements for the former England international and according to The Sun, the veteran could opt to move to the United States.

The report has suggested that Baines will travel to California to hold discussions with both Los Angeles Galaxy and Los Angeles FC ahead of a possible transfer later this summer.

Baines has spent his entire career in the North-West of England, with the player representing Wigan Athletic before linking up with Everton in 2007.
