Hugo Lloris has said that France were "delighted" to hear of Spain's 1-1 draw with Finland.
Les Bleus gained the upper hand in Group I as Vicente del Bosque's men were held in Gijon while they defeated Georgia 3-1 in Paris.
The reigning world champions travel to the French capital on Tuesday for a crucial encounter at the Stade de France.
"We were delighted to learn [Spain] had drawn, but it does not change anything," L'Equipe quotes the Tottenham Hotspur keeper as saying.
"It remains a match with three points to gain. We know the value of their team. They are capable of winning."
France top the group by two points.
