Fulham boss Martin Jol refuses to blame keeper David Stockdale for his side's 2-1 defeat to Swansea, but conceded that he didn't have the best of games.

Fulham manager Martin Jol has refused to blame goalkeeper David Stockdale for his side's 2-1 loss to Swansea but acknowledged that their two goals were soft ones to concede.

Stockdale's errors handed the Swans a two-goal lead that they failed to overturn, leaving Fulham with just one win in their past 12 games.

Jol admitted that his keeper did not have a good game, but refused to blame him for the defeat.

"I can't blame 90% of my players. They gave everything, they did everything. The only one who didn't have the best Christmas Day was my goalkeeper and he's a very good goalkeeper," said Jol.

"I won't blame him but you can see that we gave them the two goals - simple. I feel that the first goal we presented to them and the second goal was almost a Christmas gift.

"I don't think if you play in the way we played today that you will have these sorts of disappointing results, because you will pick up points. We made it difficult for them, tactically it was probably our best game over the last couple of months. I really enjoyed watching us."

The result leaves Fulham 14th in the Premier League table, just four points above the relegation zone.
