Bryan Ruiz told he can leave Fulham

Rene Meulensteen says that striker Bryan Ruiz is allowed to leave Fulham and is in talks with several clubs.

Fulham head coach Rene Meulensteen has confirmed that striker Bryan Ruiz has been told he can leave the club this month.

The 28-year-old is currently in talks with numerous clubs following reports that Real Betis and Dutch outfits are interested in the forward's services.

"I wouldn't call his signing a mistake because at that time it was probably for Fulham the right choice and the right investment," BBC Sport quotes Meulensteen as saying.

Ruiz moved to Craven Cottage in 2011 for a reported fee of £10.6m.
