Scottish Championship roundup: Rangers keep up the pressure on Hearts

Hearts remain six points ahead of Rangers in the Scottish Championship after both sides register wins.

Hearts remain six points clear at the top of the Scottish Championship following a comprehensive 3-0 win away to Queen of the South.

Osman Sow, Prince Buaben and Jordan McGhee were on target for the Jambos, but Rangers kept up the pressure on them with a 1-0 win at Livingston, a Lewis Macleod strike proving decisive there.

Hearts' city rivals Hibernian remain in mid-table following their 1-1 draw at home to third-placed Raith Rovers. Scott Robertson had given Hibs the lead in the first half, but Christian Nade levelled the match after the break.

Falkirk moved away from the danger zone with a 2-1 win at home to Alloa Athletic, in which Peter Grant and Luke Leahy netted for the hosts and Liam Buchanan bagged the visitor's response.

Finally, bottom club Cowdenbeath held Dumbarton to a goalless draw away from home.

Results in full: Dumbarton 0-0 Cowdenbeath, Falkirk 2-1 Alloa, Hibernian 1-1 Raith Rovers, Livingston 0-1 Rangers, Queen of the South 0-3 Heart
