Edinburgh rivals Hibs and Hearts share two goals and the spoils at Easter Road.

The spoils have been shared in the first Edinburgh derby of the Scottish Premier League season at Easter Road this afternoon.

Visiting Hearts dominated the early exchanges and they went on to break the deadlock in the 28th minute when Andrew Driver beat Ben Williams from close range.

The response from Hibs was positive, with Leigh Griffiths in particular causing problems to the Hearts defence.

It was Griffiths who eventually drew the home side level with the break fast approaching when he turned in a pass from David Wotherspoon from close range.

James McPake had the best chance to win the match for Hibs after the restart, but he headed straight at Jamie MacDonald in the away goal from six yards out.

The draw was not enough to lift Hibs off the bottom of the SPL table.
