Half-Time Report: Alex Kacaniklic's unlikely opener gives Fulham lead

Fulham lead Huddersfield Town at half time thanks to Alax Kacaniklic's bizarre opener.

Fulham hold a narrow half-time lead over Huddersfield Town as Alex Kacaniklic's unusual opener remains the difference between the two sides at the break.

Kacaniklic's goal came in strange circumstances just two minutes in when his corner sailed into the back of the Huddersfield net without taking a touch off anyone crowded inside the penalty box.

Tommy Smith then picked out Sean Scannell with a smart cross but the Huddersfield man could only direct his header straight at Marcus Bettinelli.

Ishmael Miller's wild effort from 25 yards failed to test Bettinelli as the home side failed to turn their large amount of first-half possession into chances.

David Edgar sent his header from Jacob Butterfield's cross wide of goal, before Nahki Wells came closest to levelling the game when his flick from Miller's cross struck a post.
