Reading make part-exchange bid for Jordan Rhodes?

Reading reportedly bid £2m plus defender Sean Morrison for Huddersfield Town forward Jordan Rhodes.

Reading have reportedly made a player-plus-cash bid for Huddersfield Town forward Jordan Rhodes.

The 22-year-old scored 40 goals in 46 matches for the Terriers last season and is said to have attracted interest from Fulham.

Royals boss Brian McDermott is hoping to beat the Cottagers to Rhodes's signature and has offered the Championship new boys £2m plus defender Sean Morrison, according to the Daily Star.

Morrison, who joined Reading from Swindon Town in January 2011, spent the second half of last season on loan at Huddersfield, making 22 appearances.

It has been suggested that Huddersfield may demand as much as £8m for Rhodes.
