Steve Bruce: 'Nikica Jelavic, Shane Long were magnificent'

Hull City boss Steve Bruce says that Nikica Jelavic and Shane Long were "absolutely magnificent" in the 4-0 win against Cardiff City.

Hull City boss Steve Bruce has praised the performances of Nikica Jelavic and Shane Long in the 4-0 win against Cardiff City in the Premier League.

The duo, who joined the Tigers in the January transfer window, were a constant threat at the Cardiff City Stadium, with Jelavic scoring a brace.

"I've always said you're as good as your strikers, and I thought ours were absolutely magnificent today," Bruce told the club's official website.

"I also thought our defenders were terrific. Their desire to keep a clean sheet was there for all to see, even right at the end."

Hull are 11th in the league table.
