Hull City manager Steve Bruce has revealed that goalkeeper Allan McGregor is on course to make his comeback against Everton this weekend.
The Scottish keeper had to be treated in hospital after damaging a kidney when he broke three ribs following a collision with West Ham United's Mohamed Diame.
McGregor is now back in training and is eyeing up a starting spot in this month's FA Cup final against Arsenal.
"I think McGregor might be available for Sunday against Everton," Bruce is quoted as saying by the Daily Star. "He's as tough as they come. We'll leave it to him.
"If he declares himself fit, then great. Then I've got a decision to make. The way he is and the way he's flying around, it's quite remarkable, really."
Should the 32-year-old fail to recover in time for the Wembley showdown, then Steve Harper is likely to start in what will be his second appearance in the FA Cup final.
