Brighton & Hove Albion manager Gus Poyet is keen to add Hull City striker Aaron McLean to his squad, according to Sky Sports News.
Poyet has grown concerned at a lack of goals from his playing squad and is believed to feel that 28-year-old McLean could solve the problem.
Should McLean make the switch to the South Coast, he will be reunited with Craig Mackail-Smith, with whom he shared a prolific partnership during their stint at Peterborough United.
Hull boss Nick Barmby would be reluctant to part with McLean, but that will not stop Poyet from submitting an offer.
McLean has scored five goals in 19 outings this season.
