Inter Milan have completed the signing of Roma defender Dodo, initially on a two-season loan deal.
La Maggica deemed the Brazilian left-back to be surplus to requirements at the Stadio Olimpico following the arrival of former England international Ashley Cole.
Those circumstances alerted Inter, who have secured the 22-year-old's signature for a fee in the region of £7m once the loan deal has expired.
Speaking to the club's official website, Dodo said: "I spoke to [head coach Walter Mazzarri] before I came. His ideas and his project left me in no doubt whatsoever.
"As for San Siro, I've already played there and I've seen it full in the Coppa Italia. I'm keen to get out there but it'll definitely be wonderful, just like the Olimpico."
Dodo spent two campaigns with Roma following his arrival from Corinthians.
