Italy boss Antonio Conte is adamant that his side will improve throughout their Euro 2016 qualification campaign.
The Azzurri followed up a modest 2-1 home win over Azerbaijan by winning 1-0 away to Malta tonight to maintain their 100% start to Group H.
"The result was good," Conte told Rai Sport. "We should certainly have done more in attack, but we hit the woodwork four times.
"We can do better and I am convinced having nine points in the table should give us confidence."
Southampton striker Graziano Pelle marked his Italy debut with a first-half winner.
Conte's side face co-leaders Croatia on November 16.
