Jamie Carragher: 'I would love for Paul Pogba to play in Premier League'

Ex-Liverpool defender Jamie Carragher "would love" to see Juventus midfielder Paul Pogba, formerly of Manchester United, back in the Premier League.

Ex-Liverpool defender Jamie Carragher has claimed that he would love to see Paul Pogba back in the Premier League.

The 21-year-old Frenchman left Manchester United for Italian giants Juventus in 2012, and has become one of European football's hottest properties while playing in Serie A.

As a result, the midfielder has allegedly been courted by several Premier League clubs over the course of the summer transfer window.

"Juventus midfielder Paul Pogba looks ideally suited to the Premier League," Carragher told the Daily Mail.

"He would be expensive, but I would love to see another midfield powerhouse in our league."

Pogba helped France to the quarter-finals of the 2014 World Cup in Brazil, where they were defeated 1-0 by eventual winners Germany.
