Andre Gray's five goals in five games for Brentford have earned him a nomination for November's Championship Player of the Month award.
The former Luton Town man netted in all but one of the Bees' games as they won every match last month to climb into the top three.
He is joined on the shortlist by Blackburn Rovers striker Rudy Gestede, Alex Mowatt of Leeds United and Birmingham City goalkeeper Darren Randolph.
Gestede, like Gray, scored five goals in November for playoff-chasing Blackburn, three of which were headers.
Young midfielder Mowatt starred for Leeds with three goals and two assists. He scored both in the draw with Charlton Athletic.
Randolph, like the rest of his Birmingham teammates, has been in much improved form under new manager Gary Rowett. He conceded just twice in an unbeaten month that included three clean sheets for the Blues.
The winner will be announced tomorrow morning.
