Jose Mourinho praises his Manchester United side, claiming that they "dominated the game in every aspect".

Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho has praised his side after they thrashed champions Leicester City 4-1 at Old Trafford on Saturday afternoon.

The result, which saw United score three goals from corner kicks in the space of just five minutes, arrested a run of form that had seen them lose their last two Premier League games as well as their Europa League opener.

"We beat the champions, we didn't beat an ordinary team," Mourinho told BBC Sport afterwards. "Everybody knows how difficult it is to play against Leicester so yeah, [I'm] happy.

"We started well. We had other matches where we didn't start so well and we were not so consistent. We started today really well and I know that we scored three goals in set pieces, but to create those chances was because we were dominant.

"I don't have numbers in my hands but for sure, we had much possession, we had much more game in Leicester's third, we had more chances, more shots and for sure, we dominated the game in every aspect."

Next up for Mourinho's men is a Europa League encounter with Ukranian side Zorya Luhansk at Old Trafford on Thursday.
