Leicester City are reportedly favourites to secure a deadline-day loan move for Toronto striker Jermain Defoe.
Defoe had looked poised for a switch to Queens Park Rangers, but the 31-year-old's £90,000-a-week wage demands are reported to have scuppered the deal.
Arsenal are thought to have rejected the chance to sign him and, according to The Telegraph, a move to the King Power Stadium is now on the cards.
The report goes on to state that Defoe would join the Foxes on an initial season-long loan with a view to a permanent signing.
