Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp will be able to welcome back Cody Gakpo to his matchday squad for Saturday lunchtime's Premier League clash against West Ham United at the London Stadium.
Gakpo was a notable absentee from the Reds squad that lost 2-0 to Merseyside rivals Everton on Wednesday night, with Klopp explaining after the match that the Dutch forward's partner was expecting to give birth.
Klopp has since confirmed that Gakpo is back in contention to feature on Saturday, but five players who are still unavailable for selection are Diogo Jota (hip), Conor Bradley (foot), Thiago Alcantara (muscle), Joel Matip and Ben Doak (both knee) as they continue to recover from injury.
The Liverpool boss will consider making a few changes to his starting lineup, with Jarell Quansah and Joe Gomez both in contention to replace centre-back Ibrahima Konate, who endured a night to forget against Everton, while Andrew Robertson's position at left-back could come under threat from Kostas Tsimikas.
Dominik Szoboszlai and Curtis Jones were both replaced just after the hour mark in midweek and they face competition from Harvey Elliott, Ryan Gravenberch and Wataru Endo to retain their places in midfield alongside Alexis Mac Allister.
Mohamed Salah and Darwin Nunez have both struggled for form in recent weeks, but the attacking duo - who scored in a 3-1 win over West Ham in the reverse fixture at Anfield - are expected to continue in a three-man frontline with Luis Diaz.
Liverpool possible starting lineup: Alisson; Alexander-Arnold, Quansah, Van Dijk, Robertson; Szoboszlai, Endo, Mac Allister; Salah, Nunez, Diaz
