Craig Bellamy reveals that meeting Cardiff City in the Carling Cup final is a dream to him.

Liverpool forward Craig Bellamy has expressed his delight at a dream Carling Cup final.

Bellamy, who scored the vital goal in the semi-final victory over Manchester City, admits that he couldn't ask for better opponents than Cardiff City.

The Welsh international enjoyed a loan spell at Cardiff last season and said that he was pleased by Cardiff's progress.

The 32-year-old said: "I was delighted for them and it couldn't be a better final for me. Cardiff means so much to me as my hometown.

"I have never played at Wembley either, so it will mean so much for me to go there and try to win a trophy."

It will be the first time Liverpool have played in a Wembley final for 16 years.
