Charlie Adam believes that Liverpool have built a squad that is capable of challenging for top honours.
The 25-year-old, who joined Liverpool from Blackpool earlier this summer, is hopeful of winning trophies at Anfield.
"I genuinely believe we have a squad here that's capable of challenging," Adam told The Guardian.
"We want to get back winning things, we owe the Liverpool supporters that."
The midfielder missed out on a move to Liverpool in January after Blackpool blocked the transfer.
Blackpool went on to be relegated from the Premier League and Adam eventually secured a £7m move to Liverpool.
"I want to win trophies, I wouldn't have signed for Liverpool if I didn't think I could do that here," Adam added.
Liverpool have been busy in the transfer market this summer as Reds boss Kenny Dalglish has brought in Adam, Stewart Downing and Luis Enrique.
