Liverpool manager Kenny Dalglish has praised the influence of captain Steven Gerrard after the Reds' 3-1 win against Newcastle United at Anfield.
The midfielder's introduction off the bench in the second half changed the game in the hosts' favour before he sealed the win with his side's third goal.
"Steven Gerrard is a hugely important player, everyone has admiration and appreciation for what he has done for the club, and he has a wee bit more mileage in him yet," Dalglish told Sky Sports News.
The win has lifted the Merseyside club up to fifth in the Premier League table.
