Kenny Dalglish believes that Liverpool need to "educate" themselves following their disappointing slump in the Premier League.

Liverpool manager Kenny Dalglish has claimed that the Reds may have to switch their style of play in order to win more games in the Premier League.

The Merseyside club have had a dismal domestic campaign, taking just eight points from their fixtures since Christmas.

Liverpool's latest blow came at Anfield, courtesy of a 2-1 defeat to Wigan Athletic on Saturday.

"We have got a problem winning games in the league," ESPN quotes Dalglish as saying. "We have to educate ourselves and maybe we have to not play the lovely football that we have been. Maybe we have to change our philosophies a wee bit."

Despite a disappointing league season, the Reds have reached the semi-finals of the FA Cup.
