Martin Demichelis believes Manchester City can still win Premier League title

Manchester City defender Martin Demichelis insists that his side are still in the hunt for the Premier League title, despite Sunday's defeat at Liverpool.

Manchester City defender Martin Demichelis has insisted that his side can still win the Premier League title this season, despite their defeat to Liverpool.

Manuel Pellegrini's side are seven points behind leaders Liverpool following their 3-2 defeat at Anfield on Sunday, but they have two games in hand on the sides above them.

"We're obviously not happy about the result but we know we have matches ahead and you have seen in football that we can still win - they can still make mistakes," Goal.com quotes Dimichelis as saying.

"Hopefully we will win the rest and expect some mistakes from Liverpool. No-one left the stadium feeling they were champions, and we have plenty of matches."

City last won the Premier League title in 2012.
