The Football Association have confirmed that Liverpool goalkeeper Alexander Doni will serve a one-match ban after an appeal over this week's red card was rejected.
The Merseyside club attempted to overturn the ban, which Doni picked up when he was sent off during Liverpool's 3-2 win over Blackburn Rovers on Tuesday, on the grounds of wrongful dismissal.
The English governing body put together a regulatory panel, who heard the case today and chose to enforce a one-match ban on the goalkeeper.
The Reds are likely to start with third-choice keeper Brad Jones for their trip to Wembley on Saturday when they take on Everton in the FA Cup semi-final as Pepe Reina remains suspended.
