Steven Gerrard has revealed that he will begin training with his former Liverpool teammates next week.
The 35-year-old midfielder, who signed for Los Angeles Galaxy in July, is back on Merseyside for the MLS off-season and will return to the United States in January.
There were rumours that Gerrard, who spent 17 years at Anfield, could play for Liverpool on loan, but both the player and manager Jurgen Klopp have quashed those suggestions.
While on punditry duty for BT Sport, Gerrard said: "Next week [I'm training]. I'm going to go in for a couple of weeks and work with Mr Klopp so I'm really looking forward to that, to see what he's about and try and learn a few things off him."
Liverpool are currently ninth in the Premier League table, six points adrift of a Champions League spot.
