Liverpool's Steven Gerrard will wear the number eight jersey at Los Angeles Galaxy when he joins up with the Major League Soccer team in the summer.
The American club has announced that the midfielder will don the same shirt number he wore at Anfield for more than a decade.
The former England international will make his Galaxy debut on July 17 when the club take on San Jose Earthquakes at the Stubhub Centre.
Replica Galaxy shirts with Gerrard's name on the back have already gone on sale in the US.
Gerrard, who made his 700th appearance for Liverpool in their 2-1 victory against Bolton Wanderers in midweek, is expected to feature in his final Merseyside derby against Everton this weekend.
