Liverpool midfielder Jordan Henderson insists that he has no qualms with not being a regular starter at the club.

Liverpool midfielder Jordan Henderson has revealed that he has no qualms with not being an automatic starter at Anfield.

Henderson has fallen behind the likes of Philippe Coutinho and Daniel Sturridge in the Liverpool starting lineup in recent weeks after the duo made a good start to their time at the club having joined in January.

The 22-year-old is still hopeful of regaining a regular starting place, but admits that the first 11 have given manager Brendan Rodgers no reason to change a winning formula.

"I've just got to keep working hard. Before Saturday, the team had been playing brilliantly so I can't complain," said Henderson.

"Philippe Coutinho and Daniel Sturridge have both done really well since they came to the club and we've got good competition for places.

"You can't really change a winning team so I've understood why I've not played. I just have to make sure that when the manager needs me I'm ready to take my chance."

Liverpool currently sit seventh in the Premier League table, three points behind Merseyside rivals Everton having played a game more.
