Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp is unlikely to have Alisson Becker and Fabinho available for Saturday's clash with Watford due to their late return from international duty.

Liverpool duo Alisson Becker and Fabinho are unlikely to make the cut for Saturday's Premier League battle with Watford, according to a report.

Both men were called up to Tite's squad for October's World Cup qualifiers, which will finish with Brazil's home clash with Uruguay in the early hours of Friday morning UK time.

Jurgen Klopp's side open gameweek eight of the Premier League season with a 12.30PM Saturday kickoff against Watford, and the Liverpool boss has previously made his feelings known about such scheduling.

According to The Telegraph, it is "impractical" for Alisson and Fabinho to fly back and be ready in time to play on Saturday afternoon, with Klopp resigned to being without his Brazilian duo this weekend.

The Reds boss is also sweating over the fitness of Diogo Jota after he left the Portugal camp with a muscular problem, but he has been handed a timely injury boost with Trent Alexander-Arnold, who should be in contention to face the Hornets.

Liverpool occupy second spot in the Premier League table before they host Watford, which will be Claudio Ranieri's first game in charge of the Hornets.
