Divock Origi: 'I'm constantly improving my game at Liverpool'

Divock Origi hopes to become more consistent in front of goal this season but is more than happy with his development so far at Liverpool.

Liverpool striker Divock Origi has promised supporters that there is still far more to come from him in the coming years after producing a fine individual display in the friendly win over AC Milan.

The Belgium international came off the bench in Santa Clara for his first outing of pre-season, taking just 14 minutes to make a telling impact when opening the scoring.

Origi was a constant threat at Levi's Stadium in the eventual 2-0 victory, as he looks to push on from a solid campaign last time out that saw him score five times in the Reds' final six games of the campaign.

"It can be [a big season for me]. I still have to work a lot and there's a lot of room for improvement, but I try to learn day to day and we're learning as a team also," he told the Liverpool Echo.

"I can feel the confidence from everyone and can improve and enjoy my game. Year by year I'm improving and I'm still young. The most important thing is to make steps and last year I had some good moments, so I want to learn and become more consistent to help the team even more and become an important player in the team."

Origi must compete with Sadio Mane, Daniel Sturridge, Danny Ings, Roberto Firmino, Christian Benteke and Mario Balotelli for a starting berth this coming season.
