Brendan Rodgers: 'Liverpool can push for title'

Brendan Rodgers claims that Liverpool will "keep pushing" for the Premier League title after closing the gap on their rivals.

Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers has insisted that his side can still push for the Premier League title this season.

Rodgers admits that other teams will need to drop points to keep their title hopes alive after seeing his team beat Fulham 3-2 on Wednesday night.

"We're just going to keep pushing and I think we've shown enough times that we're a very good side. We're chasing, but we need some of them to drop points before anything else can happen," Rodgers told reporters following the victory at Craven Cottage.

"We know we have Chelsea and Manchester City to play at home which we'll look forward to because we've been outstanding at home but we've just got to take it game by game.

"I'm enjoying watching the team improve and develop as a coach."

Liverpool are now just four points behind leaders Chelsea.
