Raheem Sterling plays down personal praise

Liverpool winger Raheem Sterling plays down praise for his performance during the Reds' 5-1 win against Arsenal.

Liverpool winger Raheem Sterling brushed off praise for his performance as the Reds hammered Arsenal 5-1 at Anfield on Saturday.

The in-form winger scored twice as Daniel Sturridge added a goal to Martin Skrtel's early double, but the 19-year-old Sterling said that he just wants to continue to "work hard".

Speaking to BT Sport after the game, Sterling said: "I just put it down to the manager (Brendan Rodgers) telling us to press on the front foot. It suits me well, I can make the runs in behind and hopefully my teammates can find me.

"We're just taking it a game at a time and hopefully we can keep getting the points. For me, I'm just going to continue to work hard."

The Reds are currently fourth in the Premier League.
