The agent of Liverpool defender Martin Skrtel hints that the Slovakian could leave the club at the end of the season.

The agent of Liverpool defender Martin Skrtel has admitted that his client could depart the Reds at the end of the season.

Jamie Carragher has been preferred to the Slovakian in recent weeks, while the club have also been linked with a move for Swansea City defender Ashley Williams.

It is not yet clear whether Skrtel will actively seek a move in the summer, but his agent Karol Csonto has suggested that transfer talks will take place.

"Martin still has a valid contract with Liverpool and we are not going to discuss his future during the season. In the summer, we will see what intentions Liverpool have with him and will decide accordingly," Csonto told reporters.

Skrtel joined the club from Zenit St Petersburg in 2008.
