The agent of Daniel Agger has admitted that he was surprised by Brendan Rodgers's decision to leave his client out of their Europa League qualifying squad.
Speculation earlier this afternoon had suggested that the defender would miss the match against FC Gomel due to injury but the Denmark international's representative has denied those reports.
"He is not injured in any way," Per Steffensen told Politiken. "Only the club and the manager can answer to why he is not in the squad."
Agger has been linked with a move away from Anfield but Steffensen refused to comment on those rumours.
"Liverpool will have to answer to whether they have received any offers," he added.
Manchester City and Barcelona have both been credited with an interest in Agger.
