Algerian midfielder Ryad Boudebouz has claimed that Liverpool have made contact with his representatives over a potential switch to Anfield.
The 22-year old winger is looking for a move away from current club Sochaux after they finished a disappointing 14th in Ligue 1 this season.
Boudebouz, who also hinted that he was interesting several French sides, has said that Liverpool have been in touch with his agent over a possible transfer.
"Certainly, my agent is in talks with some clubs, particularly in France, but there is still nothing concrete," he said.
"There is also Liverpool, who have initiated discussions with my agent, but at the risk of repeating myself, everything is in the discussion stage, no more."
Boudebouz was named Young African Player Of The Year in 2010.
