Liverpool and Newcastle United are reportedly ready to do battle for the signature of West Ham United midfielder Mohamed Diame.
Diame has just 12 months remaining on his current deal and has a buyout clause of around £3.5m inserted into it.
The Reds and the Magpies are weighing up a move for the 26-year-old, according to The Mirror, after the Hammers were perturbed by his £80,000-a-week contract demands.
Sam Allardyce's side finished 13th in the Premier League last season.
