Liverpool have reportedly been placed on red alert after Fiorentina keeper Norberto Neto rejected a switch to Juventus.
The Merseyside outfit were linked with a move for the Brazilian shot-stopper around the time of the January transfer window, but no deal materialised.
According to The Express, however, Neto has turned down a move to Juve this summer, fearing that his career will suffer as an understudy to Gianluigi Buffon.
That development is thought to have helped rekindle the Reds' interest in the 25-year-old, who could reportedly head to Anfield to challenge Simon Mignolet to be first-choice keeper.
Meanwhile, Liverpool are said to be favourites in the race to sign James Milner on a free transfer this summer, and Danny Ings is also set to join last year's Premier League runners-up.
