Liverpool to add £100m buyout clause to Luis Suarez contract?

Liverpool will reportedly add a buyout clause of £100m to Luis Suarez's proposed new contract.

Liverpool will reportedly include a world-record £100m buyout fee for Luis Suarez's proposed new contract.

The Reds are keen to keep their talisman away from the clutches of Real Madrid, who have been linked with a January move for the Uruguayan striker, so they will look to add the clause to any potential fresh deal, according to the Daily Mail.

Liverpool plan to put the former Ajax man on their 'Platinum Player' package, meaning that his wages would rise to around £200,000 a week.

Suarez, who is the Premier League's top scorer with 14 strikes this term, has two-and-a-half years left on current contract at Anfield.
