Liverpool have reportedly pinpointed Ajax and Brazil winger David Neres as a key target ahead of next summer's transfer window.
The 22-year-old became an internationally recognised name following his performances in the Champions League last season, claiming two goals and two assists on Ajax's route to the semi-final.
Neres's form has continued into this season, with the Brazilian netting twice and providing an assist in the Champions League against Lille.
According to Calcio Mercato, Neres is considered an ideal option by Liverpool, who are determined to build up an attacking roster capable of challenging Manchester City's front line.
Jurgen Klopp's side, having won the Champions League in May, did not make any marquee signings over the transfer window due to the manager being happy with the options at his disposal.
Reports of interest in Neres adds to speculation that Mohamed Salah could leave Anfield this summer amid interest from Real Madrid.
