Real Madrid youngster Martin Odegaard is reportedly keen on a loan move to Liverpool this summer.
The 17-year-old is expected to be sent out on a temporary basis for the 2016-17 campaign, with Madrid manager Zinedine Zidane not yet deeming him ready for the first team.
The Daily Mail reports that Madrid see the Bundesliga as their preferred destination for the Norway international, having already loaned Borja Mayoral and Omar Mascarell to Wolfsburg and Eintracht Frankfurt respectively this summer.
However, the player himself is reportedly holding out for a summer switch to Liverpool in order to play under Reds boss Jurgen Klopp.
Liverpool are yet to register an interest in the youngster, though, with Odegaard commanding a £1.2m salary despite his age.
The midfielder, who was chased by a number of top clubs before moving to Madrid in January 2015, has featured for the European champions during their pre-season tour of the United States this month.
