Real Madrid have reportedly been offered the chance to sign striker Timo Werner from RB Leipzig.
The Germany international has scored 21 goals in 25 Bundesliga appearances this season and is available for £51m due to a release clause in his contract.
Liverpool were considered the favourites to sign Werner after the 24-year-old admitted to being a fan of the work Jurgen Klopp is doing at Anfield.
However, reports in Spain suggest that Leipzig will give Madrid the first shot at signing the in-demand attacker as they are looking to build a strong relationship with Los Blancos.
Zinedine Zidane is known to like Leipzig, but Borussia Dortmund's Erling Braut Haaland and Lautaro Martinez of Inter Milan are believed to be bigger priorities.
