Police have been unable to identify Luton fans alleged to have racially abused an Accrington player last month.
The Sky Bet League One club revealed three days after the October 23 fixture at Kenilworth Road that a journalist reported a fan for making racist comments, and a visiting spectator on social media then accused some Luton supporters of racist chanting.
Luton said in a statement at the time that they were "helping Bedfordshire Police with their enquiries" but had "found no evidence to back up the accusations".
A Bedfordshire Police statement on Wednesday read: "We have been investigating a report of racist comments directed towards a player during the Luton Town v Accrington Stanley match at Kenilworth Road on Tuesday, 23 October.
"Several lines of enquiry have been investigated, including interviewing witnesses and reviewing audio footage of the game and CCTV, but officers cannot identify any specific comments or suspects."
