Lyon secure first win in five

Lyon beat Guingamp 2-0 at the Stade de Gerland to end a run of five games without a win in Ligue 1.

Lyon have secured their first win in five games thanks to goals from Alexandre Lacazette and Bafetimbi Gomis against Guingamp this evening.

The result moves Les Gones up to 12th in Ligue 1 and also brings an end to the visitors' three-game winning streak.

It was two quickfire goals early on that swung the game in favour of the home side, and Jocelyn Gourvennec's men were never able to recover.

Lacazette rammed home the first from close range in the 12th minute and Gomis doubled the lead a minute later.

Mustapha Yatabare nearly got his team back in the game just after half time when he was picked out by Fatih Atik, but he saw his close-range effort come back off the post.

The night was soured for coach Remi Garde as Maxime Gonalons had to be withdrawn after suffering an injury in a challenge with Mustapha Diallo, for which the midfielder was sent off.
